The group continues to grow as more people join us. A sign of our time perhaps.Our last event of note was the ‘Big Morning Tea’ which raised a significant amount of money for
cancer research. Our new Mayor and councilors joined in for this occasion.Coming events are another BBQ and soon after, Vietnam Veterans Day and our celebration of 10 years as a group. Ideas are coming forward for this occasion but more ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Wednesday drop-ins are still well attended and frolics on Fridays after the pay fortnight are great but more members and guests are very welcome to attend. The kayak group are doing a lot of stirring and not only in the local waters. A new group of budding artists from Greenslopes Keith Payne Unit are expected now on the 8th of July. I look forward to seeing you all at our next happy event.
